Musing about books

Sometimes while out walking, I think about reading or writing.

I recently read The Immortality Virus. This dystopian story takes place some 500 years in the future after an man-made virus was released in 2050. While at the time people thought that it was an influenza pandemic, which killed millions of people, it was actually a virus that would stop people from aging once they hit 30 or so. Everybody who survived the pandemic was now essentially immortal to aging, but not to dying. The book takes many twists and turns, often in unexpected ways which results in an interesting ending. How would I rate it? Perhaps 5 on a scale of 1(awful) to 10 (great).

I am currently re-reading Fool, another Christopher Moore book. The reason for re-reading it is because I have the sequels, which I want to read, but want to remind myself about characters. It takes place in a fictional 13th century England with king Lear and his three daughters. Fool is the court jester. I’ll write more about this in the future.

Until next time…
