Our day stated with breakfast at Frank’s Place on Portage Street in Sault Ste. Marie. Then it was off in search of birds.

An interesting young Bald Eagle.

A tree full of Pileated Woodpeckers (three in this tree, one in a nearby tree).

Finally a Snowy Owl on M-129 south of 10 Mile Road.

Then we headed to LSSU in search of Bohemian Waxwings, which we didn’t find.

Icicles on metal stairs.

Well now, Cannabis Studies, that would be an interesting major.

Lunch was at Pure Country in Rudyard. Basic filling food, nothing spectacular, but still quite good.

In the evening we went to The Palace on Portage, across from Frank’s Place, on Portage Street.

Quite a few choices for tequila and mescal.
More tomorrow as we head off to Whitefish Point.
Until then…
