Our day started with breakfast at Nick’s which due to road work was really hard to access. But we managed to meet Mike and Linda. Then Mike came with us to Lower Huron Metropark.

At Lower Huron we decided to walk the Wood Creek Rustic Trails. This nice trail had a lot of nice trees. It had a distinct Carolinean Forest feel. There were hickories and oaks, but also hackberry, tuliptree, American bladdernut and other trees.

Looking down at the creek.

Looking down the trail.

At one point at the side of the trail Susan found a garter snake.
