
The Red Wings game last night was infinitely better than game one last season. Elmer Söderblom scored the first goal of the season, in his first game in the NHL. Husso got the shutout, and Rasmussen had the best game of his career. Now let’s see how tonight goes in New Jersy,


It was a chilly morning, but a nice sunny one in the garden with a cup of coffee. The kale plant on the right is 42 inches tall from the soil and will provide us with kale all winter since it’s one of six plants.

Game day for the University of Michigan, who ultimately beat Penn State 41-17. UM is now 7-0.

But we were downtown so that we could go to the Farmers Market. With all of the construction getting there required some creativity, but no real problem.

Sine RVs can no longer park at Pioneer High School they are scrambling for sites. Somehow seeing a dozen RVs parking in a lot next to a two-way bike lane is a real contrast.
I think that after meeting friends for breakfast we might head off to Erie Metropark looking for birds.
