Susan canned diced Roma tomatoes last night. We still have some 20 pounds of green tomatoes that are waiting to ripen. When they do they will become either diced tomatoes or tomato sauce. Two of the raised beds have had the plants removed leaving only a few marigolds.

Here are the last of the tomatoes for eating. I imagine that there will be a BLT or two in the future.

The last of the chilis sitting in the window waiting to going the oven to finish drying. We had the most amazing year for hot peppers. I already have dried some 50+ chilis. I have 40-50 jalapeños waiting to be pickled and canned. All of these peppers came from 12 plants. When I think about it the entire garden started as about 120 seeds, enough to fit in the palm of a hand. These beds have given us so much since I made them in 2003. Now, on to some art news –

Apparently Lynn Goldsmith is suing over the use of her image as the “model” for Warhol’s silk-screens. I believe that the Supreme Court is not ruling in her favor.

Over the years I have gone through so many of these manual data entry devices. Students would laugh when they came to my office and saw a cup filled with sharpened #2 pencils. Additionally, the number that I have used down to stubs drawing is amazing. I still have enough to last for 8-10 years, since I hadn’t done any drawing for quite some time. Who knows, that might change as I work on Inktober drawings. BTW, the next batch will be posted on Monday and Wednesday next week.
More tomorrow…
