The joy of getting back to Ann Arbor is finding that the garden did well, and is ready for picking. Yesterday I picked over 12 pounds of tomatoes.

The hot peppers are thriving. I have 15-20 now drying so they will be ready to ground into a chili powder.

Flat beans will be harvested for the first time this year.

Probably three meals of flat beans on the first picking. There are many more to come.

I’ll be adding to these over the next few days and will can tomato sauce on Thursday or Friday.
Tomorrow I’ll pick basil for another round of making pesto. And then the real adventure getting some cucumbers at the Farmer’s Market for making cucumber kimchi. More on that later.
More tomorrow…
