
The pantry is nearly empty. A few jars of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. It’s time to use some of what’s in the garden.

Processed tomatoes, and cooking on the stove. Later in the day this will be ready for canning.

The last batch of giardiniera is gone. We only have some pickled green beans (which are wonderful with any meal) and pickled onions for sandwiches.

A quart of giardiniera in the refrigerator. This “might” last us until late September. It has cauliflower, red pepper, onion, carrot and celery. I could have added green beans, but didn’t have any when everything else was ready for pickling.
