Reliving old memories

Old toys from close to 40 years ago, not part of a group of “memorabilia.”

This morning we had breakfast at Angelo’s with Mike and Linda. This was the first restaurant that I ate at in 1977 when I moved to Ann Arbor. Back then it was run by Angelo himself and his wife.

Today it is a brighter, and somewhat less busy place, but none-the-less and iconic Ann Arbor destination.

The building on the left wasn’t a part of Angelo’s in 1977, but was there by the 1980s.

This is Med. Sci II, where my career started in Ann Arbor in 1978 when I was in the Anatomy Department. Lots of nice memories from back then.

Today this is no longer the Anatomy Department, but rather the Buhl Research Center for Human Genetics. While everything looks the same, everything has changed.

More tomorrow…
