An anniversary, of sorts for me and more

It has now been a years since I last took my seizure meds. And it has been over a year and a half since I suffered a seizure, which I had always called my “neurological events.” I’ll say I do not miss either. The meds, which were an important part of my life for seven years left me feeling foggy and made it difficult to walk, especially in the morning. For the past year I have average close to 4 miles a day walking, which really pleases me. But there’s more to life than my silly problems.

Poor Snoopy, they’re even taking his bowl.

I read The Satanic Verses when it first came out in paperback and have always been an admirer of Salman Rushdie and his writing. Sadly it appears that a religious extremist finally got to him. Hopefully, he will recover. I hate seeing extremists win. But then we are in a time in this country when religious extremists and conservative extremists are running over the rest of us. When will that change.

More tomorrow…
