We took the bus to Farmers Market this morning. It was time to get some more veggies and fruits.

It was fun letting the kids help with picking out what we would get. But I also enjoyed just looking at all of the vegetables that were available. I enjoyed finding someone who sold middle eastern/Mediterranean prepared foods.

One farmer specialized in root vegetables like these carrots and radishes.

But they also had onions and beets. Another booth had what were the biggest shallots I have ever seen.

when we reached the end it was time to head into the Kerrytown shops.

I took the opportunity to show Camilla the high school that Alexis went to. Community High is across the street from the Farmers Market.

Then we headed into Kerrytown and walked around all of the shops.

Some of the shops were oriented towards kids, others towards adults.

Spice Merchants was the perfect place to get peppercorns and tea.

While we didn’t get anything from Fustini’s, it is an excellent place to get speciality oils and vinegars.
More tomorrow…
