It was a hot (97F+) day in July 35 years ago that this event took place in our garden, which has been a focal spot in our relationship since. Susan is wearing a dress that was her great-grandmothers, and fit her perfectly. Alexis is wearing a dress that we got for her in Mexico and has since been passed on to her daughter.
As you can see I am not wearing a tie, which Susan did not see me wear until 2001, when I had to wear one to a speaking engagement that I was pair to give.
