The latest on the pandemic

World-wide the number of new cases have increased by 18% in the course of a week. While numbers have decreased slightly in the US, numbers in Europe, especially Germany, France and Italy have increased dramatically, with an equally disturbing increase in the number of deaths. Johns Hopkins has put out an interesting set of graphics about pandemics.

They started with a discussion of the 1918 influenza pandemic and the fact that it never really ended. We still have occasional epidemics and pandemics.

With Covid, there is an advantage that a vaccine appeared much more quickly than with influenza.

Get used to getting an annual covid-shot along with your flu-shot.

And finally, regarding the Insurrection – yes fascists there is evidence.
