Platanthera orbiculata, Large round-leaved orchid that we found at Sawmill Creek Park in Paradise on the way to Naomikong.
Listeria convallarioides, Broad-lipped twayblade at Naomikong. We found three of these in bloom which was our major target for the day. These orchid flowers are about 125mm tall (approximately 5 inches)
Plantanthera huronensis, Green bog orchid another orchid that we found. This is a huge flower spike. The height of this flower spike was about 72.5cm or 2 feet.
The diversity of sedges here is quite large. This attractive one is still unidentified.
Whenever you are in Chippewa County in June or July Naomikong is an excellent place to stop in order to see interesting plants and birds.
