Some new birds in the neighborhood

Looking out at the pong I could see that both swans were there. There was a gray little fluffy thing at the feet on one – cygnet number one.

Going left to right was a Great Egret, then one swan and finally the other with a cygnet.

Waiting a minute a mallard rose from the grass and was followed by a seven (or more) ducklings. Obviously, the pond is becoming quite productive.

Paying close attention the next morning it became obvious that there were three cygnets. Maybe by tomorrow there would be more.

Here’s the whole Trumpeter Swan family. It’s nice being able to watch them from our deck.
