
Watching the sun come up it was obvious that it was going to be a nice day.

Dragon horn, a lichen that we have in a small patch on one of our sand dunes.

I never get enough falcons. Today was dominated by American Kestrels, but there was also a Merlin or two and a Peregrine Falcon.
Along with kestrels there were a lot of Sharp-shinned Hawks, a few Red-tailed Hawks, Rough-legged Hawks, Bald Eagles and harriers. But my favorite birds were the two Golden Eagles that passed by the cabin in the morning. Below are a couple of photos from 2013.
