For everybody complaining about spring. This photo was from 2011. The springs of 2011 and 2012 make this look like an early spring. Now, get back to your gardens.
While I always think of Whitefish Point as being mostly pines, this patch of paper birch is between us and the point.
A highly recommended stop is “King’s” on M-123 in Moran, about 6 miles west of I-75. We hadn’t eaten there in a few years (we’re usually there at the wrong times for us). The whitefish baskets were just as good as we remembered. We also got fish and other stuff to take home.
We stopped in Petosky to visit Mike and Deb, which is always fun. Fitting in a nice sunny walk was appreciated after the enjoyable drive from Paradise (where Whitefish Point is located).
