Susan, Linda and I went downtown for the start of Fool Moon night. We spent a few hours walking around downtown watching events that would precede the luminary parade.

Walking around I managed to take photos of some fairly new businesses and street art.

A street angel and a cinnamon roll shop, how had I missed this in the past?

But all over downtown there were people who had become part of the evenings events.

I think that tacos, tequila and tapas became my theme for the evening.

Hmm, a taco crawl might be a future meal idea.

Walking from Liberty and Main to Kerrytown was a fun walk.

Apparently people at the Farmer’s Markey need to know about this.

But I was more interested in the belly dancers.

Another newer restaurant appropriately on Detroit Street.

Another new business.

More murals, two of five in a series.

A bar with outside live music as the sun was setting.

The Grotto is across the street from Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger.

Places that we have visited many times over the years include Zolas.

For those of us who have lived in Ann Arbor since the 1970s this is not Pretzel Bell.

The light show over the Blue Llama.

The first of the luminaries started appearing shortly after dark. I like the coronavirus and syringe, The “theme” of the evening was Alice in Wonderland. Cheshire cats and mushrooms were common.

Two more cats and a rabbit going down a rabbit-hole.

The best teapot and mad hatter of the evening.

And finally a dragon and a Jabberwocky – or were they both Jabberwocky’s?
More tomorrow…
