A fun day with Mark and Adrienne

Our day started in Weverville. I worked with Mark at the Insect Division of the University of Michigan Museums of Zoology some 25 years ago. We would often go out insect collecting together and had some amazing road trips together. Today we went out photographing plants.

Our destination today was Rocky Fork State Park in Tennessee.

Here we are, two old entomologists who collect now with cameras rather than nets.

The Rocky Fork River was quite high due to recent rains

Among all of our finds today, I think that this patch of Walking ferns was my favotire.

After a few hours at the park we stopped for a late Mexican lunch. A great way to end the day.

More tomorrow…
