Our day started out at the shore where Fish Crows are the dominant crow.

The crows were above the gulls, terns and even this Brown Pelican.

Searching through the abundant Sanderlings we were lucky to find three Western Sandpipers.

Savannah Sparrows were tucked into the seaside shrubs.

As the day warmed we started being distracted by an array of interesting butterflies. Great Southern Whites dominated, but we found a few Gulf Fritillaries and a single Zebra Longwing.

Belted Kingfishers were near most bodies of water, so were Ospreys. AT one point we passed 24 utility poles and saw 19 Osprey.

We did find the bird that we were searching for – a Cinnamon Teal, which normally occurs in the western parts of the Continent.

Our day ended on the beach watching a SpaceX launch, which was an interesting event.
