A day full of birds

I’m not sure which I like better – the Loggerhead Shrike looking at me, or in profile.

It took a while to find one, but we finally had a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron.

The Great Egrets today all seemed to be in breeding plumage.

Spotted Sandpipers haven’t been all that common. This one was very cooperative.

There were a few Semipalmated Sandpipers at the beach.

We finally had a group of Bonaparte’s Gulls. at the North Jetty at Ponce Inlet.

We came here in search of Purple Sandpipers.

It was fun watching this bird feeding along the Jetty.

Ruddy Turnstones were the most common shorebirds along the beach and jetty.

Earlier, we had a nice look at a Belted Kingfisher.

An American Oystercatcher is always nice to see.
