Oregon – Puzzles and the park

The day started with the elves riding a dragon and a unicorn, so the kids were really excited and energized.

After breakfast it was time for a “pre-Christmas” present from Grandma and Papa – sticker puzzle books. Both Milly and Oscar had a lot of fun with these.

Then I showed Camilla a jigsaw puzzle website where she could pick out both the picture and the number of pieces in the puzzle. After two or three of those it was on to the New York Times puzzle page and vertex, a puzzle where you use triangles to make a puzzle. Well, Camilla is a little puzzle monster! Once I showed her how to use the track-pad to connect the dots to make triangles she was off!

But pretty soon it was obvious that it was becoming a sunny day and we didn’t want to spend it all indoors – so it was off to “Grandma Park,” someday we might learn the real name of the park, but for now we use the name that Milly gave it a few years ago.

Who knows what you’ll see in a yard on the way there.

A bench at the park was calling to both Susan and Oscar to sit and watch the clouds.

Yes – for a short time the sky was blue.

Who knows what adventure lurks for Christmas Eve?
