Oregon – Birds and more

We have seen quite a few loons on the coast, most have been Pacific Loons.

A treat at the Visitors Center at Yaquina were two Townsend’s Warblers with a bunch of chickadees. The birds were moving non-stop in a feeding frenzy. There must have been a lot of little critters in the bark and needles.

A Spotted Towhee at the edge of a trail at Yaquina. We have been seeing one or two at most of our stops on the way to Eugene.

A harbor seal napping with friends on a rock.

A couple of seals playing in the surf, one even took the time to look at us.

More tomorrow…
