Despite having some 30+ years experience with dragonflies, most of the photos of Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies) that I took in Panama are still unidentified. I still enjoyed them, even not knowing what they were.

This damselfly looked quite similar to the American rubyspot.

An interesting Hemiptera species.

These are Urania moths.

An interesting, and large caterpillar.

A caterpillar that just screams at me, don’t touch!” Usually, caterpillars with spines have some toxins.

Another sweet little caterpillar with lots of small spines.

And finally what was one of the nicest insects of the trip to Panama was this member of Hemiptera. With a length of 20-24 mm, you’d think that it was easily identified. But as of now, it is still unidentified.
