Panama – animals and more

This morning we had breakfast with Mike and Linda. Mike with with me in Panama. Now on to some animals.

I love sloths. On this trip we saw two species – 2-toed and 3-toed.

I’ll admit I never tired of photographing them.

We also saw a nice variety of frogs. Like poison dart frogs, tree frogs and frogs. (left, center, right).

My favorite snake of the trip was this fer-de-lance that we almost missed as we walked within a meter of. That was almost a dangerous mistake. I have seen these a number of times in Mexico, but do not have a digital copy of any slide with it.

We saw this helmeted lizard on the trail to the Harpy Eagle’s nest.

Again, another species that I have seen on numerous occasions in Mexico and Costa Rica (two different species from this one).

A lizard near the tower on Pipeline Road.

And finally, a howler monkey along Pipeline Road.

More tomorrow…
