The above piece of art I created years ago from stamps that were essentially worthless. I cut them around interesting images and stuck them down onto a piece of watercolor paper. Each group in there tells its own little story. There are birds and Primates all over the place. A group of fish. There are even a few ruins from Mexico. It was an interesting little project that I might repeat in the near future. Now, on to the garden

The first of the beds had all of the plants removed about 4-5 days ago. The garden with the marigolds is having that done as I am typing.

The sundial with not be reset for the impending time change. But will be put away for the winter.

The sun and the moon, each with their own glass planet have been put in a spot where we can see them better from our desks.

At various sites in the garden the fungi are still going strong.

There are some puffballs growing on an old stump.

We even have some interesting “cup fungus” growing where we had beans planted.

With the exception of the bed that Susan has started working on today, two are already covered with new composted manure, some garden compost and shredded leaves. Next years garlic is planted. And now we will let the garden rest for the winter before putting it back to work.
Tomorrow – Chichen Itza, Mexico…
